Licensed software and content

Negotiating on your behalf
Jisc negotiates with vendors and publishers of digital content and software. We leverage the collective scale and spending power of UK higher and further education to secure affordable pricing and tailored licence agreements.
Our portfolio of over 300 licence agreements includes enterprise software, digital research tools and content, and teaching, learning and assessment solutions – from global vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe and Elsevier, through to new edtechs and not-for-profit publishers.

Working with you
We work collaboratively with our members, funders and representative bodies to address sector-wide challenges in our negotiations and licensing. Our strategic and expert groups ensure that we deliver outcomes that benefit the entire education and research community.

Procurement compliant
Our work in procurement and supplier management ensures our members obtain value for money. We offer a range of dynamic purchasing systems and framework agreements to address key sector challenges.
In collaboration with our procurement and purchasing consortia we ensure you can compliantly procure our negotiated agreements using Jisc frameworks and SUPC frameworks.
More than £500m in savings
Through centrally negotiated agreements that reduce costs, streamline procurement, and support digital transformation across the sector, we've saved our members £500m on licensed software and content in 2023/24.
"As a Trust, we have significantly benefited from the software licensing agreements negotiated by Jisc. These agreements have not only provided us with access to a broader suite of Microsoft tools and functionality, but they have also enabled us to streamline and scale our digital infrastructure."
