Security Conference 2026: programme now live

For ten years, Security Conference has brought the sector together to share expertise, tackle emerging threats, and strengthen our collective cyber resilience. Returning to Manchester and online on 24-25 November, this year’s event programme explores how organisations can strengthen resilience, respond to incidents, and build more secure foundations.

From strengthening governance and response capabilities to securing research environments and protecting against emerging threats, this year’s programme offers practical insight that attendees can take back to their own organisations.

Highlights from the programme so far include:

• Under attack, united in response: Sarah Armstrong-Smith, chief security adviser at Performanta, will explore how organisations can work together to respond effectively when cyber incidents strike
• Inside the Jisc SOC - capability, learning and growth: hear from Jason Bain, CISO at Newcastle University, and our senior cyber security experts on the lessons behind building capability, strengthening security operations and protecting the sector
• Securing users beyond the managed device: Andrew Luck, assistant director of IT at Birmingham City University, will examine how institutions can better protect users, data and services in increasingly complex digital environments

Alongside these sessions, the programme will cover identity and access, cyber assurance, threat intelligence, incident response and the security of critical infrastructure. Delegates can also take part in practical workshops, cyber escape rooms and community sessions, with opportunities to test their thinking, share experiences and learn from others across the sector.

People remain at the heart of effective cyber security. By bringing together organisations, sector partners and industry experts, Security Conference 2026 will create opportunities to build the skills, confidence and connections needed to anticipate, withstand and recover from cyber incidents.
