Cyber security tool CrowdStrike now available through Jisc with exclusive sector pricing

Jisc has secured a new agreement with a leading cybersecurity provider CrowdStrike to offer preferential pricing and terms to members and customers.

The agreement will support organisations in the education and research sectors in strengthening their cybersecurity posture at reduced costs. It will also support members who are adopting Jisc’s new security operations centre (SOC), which currently supports both Microsoft Defender and CrowdStrike.

Launched in March 2025, the SOC is designed to protect the future of education and research by monitoring, detecting and responding to cyber threats 24/7. It provides expert-led protection using state-of-the-art technology, relieving pressure on internal teams and helping to reduce the impact of cyber incidents across the sector.

To use the SOC, institutions need to have a compatible endpoint protection platform in place, either Microsoft Defender or CrowdStrike. By working closely with CrowdStrike, we’re helping to expand the range of accessible, high-quality cybersecurity options available to our members.

CrowdStrike is a globally recognised cybersecurity company that delivers cloud-native protection for endpoints, cloud workloads, identity, and data. Its Falcon platform is trusted worldwide to detect, prevent, and respond to cyber threats in real time.

The agreement includes access to key CrowdStrike Falcon modules:

  • Falcon Prevent – advanced antivirus that blocks malware and ransomware
  • Falcon Insight – real-time monitoring and response to suspicious activity
  • Threat Graph Standard – connects and analyses threat data to detect attacks
  • Server Threat Graph Standard – tailored protection for server environments

A bundle price is available, along with an express support option for faster assistance. Pricing is banded by the number of endpoints and fixed for three years, with annual payments. The agreement includes two resellers listed on software license resellers agreement lot 4, to ensure procurement-compliant purchasing

By purchasing through Jisc, institutions benefit from sector-specific pricing, simplified procurement, and a solution that integrates seamlessly with the SOC.
