Digifest 2027 to be the final edition as we evolve our events programme
For 14 years, Digifest has brought the education and research sector together to shape, share and accelerate digital transformation.
When Digifest was first established, digital transformation was an emerging priority and the sector benefited from a flagship event that could bring together leaders, practitioners and innovators to explore a rapidly evolving landscape.
Today, digital is embedded in almost every strategic challenge facing universities, colleges and research organisations. Artificial intelligence, cyber resilience, data, digital infrastructure, efficiency and leadership have become core organisational priorities, creating a broader and more diverse set of conversations than ever before.
As the sector has evolved, so too have the ways people want to connect, collaborate and share knowledge. In response, we are evolving our events programme to include a broader mix of smaller, more targeted and audience-led engagement opportunities around digital transformation. As part of this evolution, Digifest 2027 will be the final edition of the event.
Future engagement activity will build on Digifest's legacy by placing greater emphasis on targeted communities and year-round engagement, creating more opportunities for members to connect around specific priorities and emerging challenges. This approach will enable us to align more closely with sector needs while continuing to support collaboration, knowledge sharing and collective action.
We remain committed to convening the sector and creating spaces where members can learn from one another, share expertise and address common challenges.
Digifest 2027 will take place on 9-10 March and will explore what's next for digital transformation across education and research. Through discussion, insight and practical examples, the event will examine the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of learning, teaching, research and institutional leadership.
General registration for Digifest 2027 will open in October 2026. Register your interest today to be among the first to hear when registration opens.
