21:38 UTC 07/03/2022 - TT184716 - Wales Region -Our Third-Party has confirmed that traffic has been re-routed back onto the original path. We will continue to monitor before this case is resolved.

We have been informed by our Third-party that engineers have identified a suspected fault on a fibre cable between two Meet Me Rooms at the Vantage DC.This patch has been replaced and SFP's have also been changed at both ends of the new fibre.We are now awaiting confirmation that traffic has been re-routed to use this original route.

13:30 UTC 07/03/2022 - TT184716 - Wales Region - We have received confirmation that a temporary fix is now in place. Traffic has been moved away from a dark fibre service that is believed to be at fault, so engineers can address the root cause.
11:30 UTC 07/03/2022 - TT184716 - Wales Region - Issues with the core links into the region have been ruled out. Security teams within Jisc and BTGS have been tasked to investigate any potential cyber issues.
10:30 UTC 07/03/2022 - TT184716 - Wales Region - We have received multiple reports of degradation from Members. Our service provider is investigating.
