18/08/2020 - TT183137 - Equinix Harbour Exchange -The root cause of this incident was due to an un-repairable failure to the Galaxy UPS Static transfer switch common output cabinet and associated switch-gear at Equinix Harbour Exchange.
All affected services were migrated to newly installed and commissioned infrastructure that was already in place, tested and commissioned as part of an ongoing project. Customer Maintenance Requests had been distributed and Equinix was in the process of coordinating times to support customers transferring to the new system.
Dual independent power distribution from the UPS to cabinets is now in place.
This case will now be resolved.
18/08/2020 - TT183137 - Equinix Harbour Exchange - We have received confirmation from our PoP host that services are now fully restored. We can confirm that connectivity has been re-established to all affected services since 18:36 BST. We will continue to closely monitor accordingly before this case is resolved.
18/08/2020 - TT183137 - Equinix Harbour Exchange - A revised ETR of 21:30 BST has been announced.
18/08/2020 - TT183137 - Equinix Harbour Exchange - The resolution works continue with engineers actively working to restore services as soon as possible. A new ETR has been provided of 21:00 BST.
18/08/2020 - TT183137 - Equinix Harbour Exchange - Further services have been restored and engineers continue to work towards restoring services to all customers.
18/08/2020 - TT183137 - Equinix Harbour Exchange - Equinix have confirmed all staff were evacuated as the fire system was activated, the root cause of the fire evacuation was due to the failure of the Galaxy UPS. The fire system has been reinstated, Staff were allowed back in and fire detection is operational. Engineers are continuing to investigate the UPS issue.
18/08/2020 - TT183137 - Equinix Harbour Exchange - Our monitoring tools indicate that power has been partially restored at 09:10 BST. Engineers are continuing to work on this incident.
18/08/2020 - TT183137 - Equinix Harbour Exchange - Engineers and a specialist vendor have begun restoring services by migrating to newly installed and commissioned infrastructure. Engineers continue to work towards restoring services and further updates will follow when more information is available.
18/08/2020 - TT183137 - Equinix Harbour Exchange - Our monitoring tools indicate a loss of power affecting all services connected via Equinix HX since 03:23 UTC, 18/08/2020. Equinix are investigating.
TT182933 - Following extended monitoring this incident is now closed.
