Jisc equipment data service upgrade: demo of the new data management platform

The Equipment Data service collects and publishes data from UK university and research facility equipment catalogues. It supports compliance with UKRI policy to enable transparency, encourage collaboration and sharing of these resources.
The service is launching an upgrade and changing the data ingest (via a data management platform), introducing the ability to assign digital object identifiers (DOIs), and enhance data quality to facilitate new use cases. These changes aim to improve the discovery and visibility of research assets, introduce the ability to cite and track research equipment assets, support reproducibility and to create a national market intelligence data resource.
