This training session is designed to equip staff with an understanding of generative AI. It will explore what generative AI is, considerations when using it and how to use it through effective prompting.

This session is aimed at professional services staff who want to build a foundational understanding of AI and develop awareness of its role in education.

What to expect
- Explore what Artificial Intelligence (AI) is, what it can do, and its capabilities and limitations. We will also examine AI's potential impacts on the workforce
- Explore effective prompting techniques, including conversational prompts and specific prompt roles, to evaluate their effectiveness and determine preferences
- Create AI prompts using tools such as Microsoft Copilot, and then critically evaluate the quality of AI-generated content, focusing on relevance, accuracy, bias, and potential hallucinations

- Jisc members: inclusive to membership
- Non member, not-for-profit: £50 + VAT
This webinar is free to anyone from a Jisc member organisation (UK further education colleges, specialist colleges or higher education institutions). You will therefore need to register with your institution's email address.
Non member, not-for-profit organisations, for example Multi Academy Trusts, schools and Independent HE, must register and pay to attend this session.
