About

In this session, participants examine how bias, and misinformation can arise in AI-generated content. The session focuses on understanding how AI bias occurs, exploring techniques for identifying bias and misinformation, and considering ways to respond to bias within educational contexts.

The curriculum is structured into three modules designed for teaching and learning staff. Module 1: Understanding AI in tertiary education for teaching and learning, Module 2: Essential AI skills for teaching and learning, and Module 3: Ethical and responsible use of AI for teaching and learning.

Who should attend

This session is aimed at teaching and learning staff who want to develop their understanding of ethical and responsible use of AI through critical evaluation. It is particularly relevant for those involved in curriculum design, assessment, or academic decision-making, and who are concerned with identifying bias, verifying AI-generated content, and supporting academic integrity.
