About

In this session, participants explore key principles of data privacy and security in the context of AI use in education. The session focuses on understanding GDPR and institutional data protection obligations, examining principles such as transparency, consent, and accountability, and considering good practice for handling data securely and responsibly when using AI.

This is the third session in module three. The curriculum is structured into three modules designed for teaching and learning staff:

  • Module one: understanding AI in tertiary education for teaching and learning
  • Module two: essential AI skills for teaching and learning
  • Module three: ethical and responsible use of AI for teaching and learning

This webinar is free to anyone from a Jisc member organisation (UK further education colleges, specialist colleges or higher education institutions). You will therefore need to register with your institution's email address.

Non member, not-for-profit organisations, for example multi academy trusts, schools and Independent HE, must register and pay to attend this session.

Upon successful registration before the webinar you'll receive your joining instructions email from training@jisc.ac.uk. Please fully read the instructions to ensure ease of access to the live online room.

  • The webinar will be run in Teams, with live automated captioning and transcription
