In this session, participants explore what AI assistants and AI agents are, how these terms are currently used, and how they differ from the broader concept of agentic AI. Through practical demonstrations, participants explore how AI assistants can be configured for specific purposes and used to support recurring tasks and workflows. The session also considers their limitations and the importance of human judgement and oversight.
This is the fourth session in module two. The curriculum is structured into three modules designed for teaching and learning staff:
Module one: understanding AI in tertiary education for teaching and learning
Module two: essential AI skills for teaching and learning
Module three: ethical and responsible use of AI for teaching and learning
For further information, and to find out about the sessions in each module, read our AI literacy training blog.
