About

This session introduces the core issues of academic integrity in the context of artificial intelligence. It will outline how generative AI is shaping higher education, including opportunities for supporting learning and the challenges it raises for originality, fairness, and integrity in assessment.

Through student perspectives, current research, and sector guidance, we’ll explore what academic integrity means in an AI age and highlight how staff can begin to help students engage with AI responsibly in their studies.

The curriculum is structured into three modules designed for teaching and learning staff:

  • Module 1: understanding AI in tertiary education for teaching and learning
  • Module 2: essential AI skills for teaching and learning
  • Module 3: ethical and responsible use of AI for teaching and learning
