About the community

The Octopus user community is a collaboration space for the users and creators of Octopus, an open platform where researchers can read, review and register ideas and findings.

Released in July 2022, we are committed to continually developing Octopus in line with user needs. The community is a space to share and gather feedback. Your involvement will help us shape the platform into a service that will enable, empower and encourage effective research and good research practice.

What you can expect

The community facilitates discussion and idea sharing, hosts workshops and user testing sessions, and provides access to resources.

It is also a space for you to meet with peers to explore related topics, such as open research and research practice. We are a community committed to the principles of open research and research integrity, and to providing researchers with the tools they need to share their work in a way that is fast, free, and fair.

Who should join?

This community is open to researchers globally. We welcome researchers from all disciplines and those in relevant roles within the research lifecycle.

How to join

You can join the conversation and keep up to date with activities through the Octopus user community mailing list.
