Open to FE and HE library staff in Yorkshire, the north east and the north west
Meets twice a year
About the community
Since 2015, the northern digital resources group has helped librarians share best practice on a range of topics, with the emphasis on the digital learning experience.
The group originally replaced the Jisc Yorkshire and Humber regional support centre excellence in learning resources group, comprised of representatives from further education and sixth form colleges in Yorkshire and the Humber. It's now grown to include higher education library staff and institutions from the North West and North East.
The group usually meets twice a year in a member college to discuss an agreed topic and share updates on Jisc work. It gives members a chance to ask for advice in a roundtable discussion, and tours of the member college/library are included if time allows.
The group has moved to meeting virtually, but is hoping to hold a mixture of online and face-to-face meetings from 2022.
Who should join?
Anyone working in libraries in a college, sixth form or higher education institution in the Yorkshire, North East and North West regions who wants to share best practice.
