Nominate a community champion

Celebrate the extraordinary people who are sharing learning, going above and beyond, and being advocates for the good of our communities by nominating your community champion for 2025.

We are looking for individuals who bring people together and share learning for the good of education and research communities. Nominate a community champion who you think deserve to be recognised and celebrated. They may facilitate an education or research community or be particularly active about sharing good practice beyond their institution.

The nominations will be reviewed and the community champions will be contacted via their nominators in January 2025.

The successful community champions will have a special VIP trip to Digifest on 11-12 March 2025 with their UK travel and accommodation paid for and an opportunity to meet and celebrate with other champions.*

The deadline for nominations is Sunday 15 December 2024.

*A community champion travelling from outside of the UK will need to personally cover travel expenses to attend Digifest, all subsequent travel within the UK can be arranged by Jisc.

Nomination tips

Please be concise and give evidence.
Don't say your nominee was 'outstanding' - prove it.
Consider using the STAR methodology to make your nomination clear; what was the situation and the person's responsibility? What were the actions they took? And finally, what was the result?
Include strong, persuasive words eg determined, sympathetic, resourceful, trusted, role model, visionary, selfless, passionate
