UK ORCID Consortium in-person events

Two regional events for consortium members are being held on the following dates:

• Thursday 4 September – Jisc Manchester office
• Wednesday 10 September – Jisc London office

The first part of each event will include updates from the consortium and ORCID. The second part will be focused on member experience with updates from members attending the event, and time for community-led topic discussion and networking. We are running two events to make it as easy as possible for members across the UK to be able to attend an in-person event.

Both events will include opportunities to share and compare experiences with peers, and space to discuss approaches and strategies to improve uptake and progress integration of ORCID. As well as benefiting delegates on the day, the dialogue and the information gathered will help Jisc to enhance support and good practice information.

We welcome your ideas and contributions! If you’d like to present or suggest a topic for discussion with your peers, please let us know by indicating your interest on the registration form.

The aims and objectives of the event:

• Reflect on progress to date in Jisc activity and community implementation
• Opportunities to celebrate best practice, share insights and practical takeaways
• Supporting colleagues across the sector
• Inspiration via your stories, successful projects and grass root practice
• Feed into new development requirements and shape activity
