About
Libraries play a pivotal role in contributing to digital transformation within their institution and leading on key areas of responsibility.
In this webinar you’ll hear from seven university libraries on how they are using the Jisc’s Digital transformation library lens resource to support strategic change programmes spanning research, digital capabilities, student services, library spaces and internal reorganisation.
The libraries are part of the Jisc’s Digital transformation library lens pilot programme and will discuss their experience of navigating change and collaborating with a multitude of stakeholders to ensure the library’s role and contribution are visible, understood and recognised.
Presentations will focus on two key themes:
- Leading through change: how libraries are contributing to institutional strategies and priorities in times of flux; the challenges and opportunities this presents; ensuring the library is seen as a valued partner; and supporting organisational cultural change:
- Aston University; Buckinghamshire New University; Teesside University; University of Westminster
- Supporting digital capabilities: how libraries are contributing to, or leading on, developing digital capabilities and skills, including AI, for both staff and students; the importance of baselining; building staff digital confidence; engaging with students; and working in collaboration across institutional functions:
- Edge Hill University; London Metropolitan University; University of Glasgow
