Meet our leadership team
Paul has been Jisc's chief executive since October 2015.
Chief financial officer
Nicola oversees our financial activities to ensure we deliver excellence and cost-effectiveness in our professional support services; especially those concerned with financial and commercial matters.
Managing director, higher education
Jonathan leads HE member engagement through and with the account management team.
He is developing and coordinating our HE strategy and its implementation. This includes engaging with senior sector stakeholders and, internally, working closely with product executive directors to ensure we meet sector needs.
Deputy chief executive and chief operating officer
Alice leads a team developing our key professional support functions, including corporate governance, legal services, strategic planning and performance, project and portfolio management, marketing and communications, HR and facilities.
She also acts as deputy chief executive.
Managing director, customer and sales enablement
Jayne leads the non-member customer teams that sell our products and services to adjacent markets and support the revenue-generating aspect of Jisc.
She's also responsible for sales and member enablement across all four of our sectors – HE, FE, research and customers - putting the directorate at the heart of the organisation and supporting our shared vision of technology for good.
Executive director, digital resources
Liam oversees our digital content and discovery related people, organisations, strategy, services and operations.
He works to ensure our digital ‘content and discovery’ capabilities and expertise lead to cost-effective, innovative and long-lived benefits for UK research and education.
Executive director, data
Karen leads the data analytics directorate.
The directorate builds on existing services such as Heidi Plus and interactive insights to deliver business intelligence for HE providers, the public sector and charities.
Managing director, further education and skills
Robin's focus is on improving the portfolio for further education (FE), with the aim of making UK colleges world leaders in the use of edtech in teaching and learning.
Executive director, e-infrastructure
Steve is responsible for bringing together our digital technology related people, organisations, strategy, services and operations.
He ensures our digital IT capabilities and expertise are applied cost-effectively and imaginatively – making a real and sustained difference to research and education in the UK.
Chief technology officer
Steve provides strategic, technical leadership and vision to our technology staff, across networking, digital information resources, innovation and internal IT.
He ensures that our group IT strategy provides a coherent direction and vision across the group, and stimulates enhanced levels of innovation for the benefit of members and customers.
Executive director, student services
Jayne is responsible for ensuring that our charitable mission to guide all students to a brilliant career is accomplished.
Her directorate runs Prospects.ac.uk, the UK’s leading graduate careers and employability platform supporting the work of careers services, educators and employers. They also run the national verification service Hedd.
Chief of staff
Andrew Wood is our chief of staff with a particular focus on helping to improve the operational effectiveness of the organisation.
