Cyber incident awareness workshop
Improve your organisation's readiness in responding to cyber incidents, such as phishing campaigns, through this scenario-led workshop.
Does everyone at your organisation understand the importance of good Cyber awareness and practices?
Are you struggling to get buy-in and engagement from your senior leaders and governors?
The biggest misconception in an incident is that the organisation will be 'business as normal' immediately after. In fact, depending on the severity of the incident, it could be several weeks before the business returns to 'normal'.
This workshop is a good introduction for your SLT before attending our full-day Ransomware incident response workshop. It introduces key systems and processes that participants can then test at a later date in the full session.
Who is this for?
This workshop is designed to improve awareness of all employees, from the Governors to a specific team. It is primarily for SLT (including non-technical staff) to understand what the technical team will be doing, their support processes, and what plans, policies and processes need to be in place. It also covers risk, culture, and the mental health impact.
This is a bespoke workshop, so we can tailor elements to suit the audience and needs of an organisation.
For a similar course for technical staff please refer to the Incident response handling workshop.
About
We all have a responsibility to understand the implications of poor cyber security or a cyber incident. Everyone completes their cyber security mandatory training, covering topics such as malware, phishing, and password security, but how many understand the reasons why?
What is the real impact of something as simple as a successful phishing campaign? What impact does this have on our everyday practices if an entire digital estate is lost, and what can we do to plan for such an event?
In this scenario-led workshop, we will look at the current cyber landscape across the education sector, and examine the damage that a threat actor can do with something as simple as a single successful phishing link click-through.
Training outcomes
By the end of the workshop, you will:
- Understand the impact of a cyber breach
- Improve awareness of roles and responsibilities within teams and understand the role of the wider organisation
- Bring together teams in a safe environment
- Understand the importance of cyber awareness and education
