Connect More 2024 will help teaching and learning professionals make the most of technology

The programme for this year's free online event is now live.

Delivered online across three half days, with presentations, panel discussions and keynote sessions, Connect More is a highlight event in the UK edtech calendar.

From the 8–10 May, top educators will share how they are adapting and evolving their practices in learning, assessment and student experience by using technology. Discussions will cover immersive digital technologies, data, AI and much more.

Each day will follow a theme:

  • Day one: Learning and teaching
Connect More will demonstrate how educators can incorporate new technologies into curriculums to enhance the learning experience for students. From AI to immersive technologies, expect to explore some of the latest innovations and practical examples of effective digital teaching strategies.
  • Day two: Assessment and feedback
Ensuring assessment and feedback remain effective in a rapidly changing digital, AI-infused landscape is a huge challenge. Sessions will delve into emerging trends and effective practice in assessment and feedback, from digital tools to new assessment models.
  • Day three: Student experience
Putting the student experience at the heart of the discussion, this theme explores how we can create more inclusive, accessible, personalised and adaptive learning environments, ethically. Speakers will explore effective practice that creates a positive student experience and give advice on how to use technology to support students.

Paul McKean, director of FE and skills at Jisc, said:

“We’re excited to launch the programme for Connect More 2024, which has been specifically designed to help teaching and learning professionals make the most out of current and emerging technologies.

“A celebration of best practice, with both insights and practical takeaways, Connect More is a great opportunity to both learn and connect with fellow sector professionals, as well as Jisc representatives. We look forward to seeing you there."

Connect More is aimed at those involved in learning and teaching, including libraries, learning resource centres, front-line teaching and digital or e-learning teams.

It’s a CPD accredited event, so attendees can contribute their learning time towards individual continuing professional development goals.
