This course has been designed to induct new users of Heidi Plus and is also perfectly suitable as a refresher course for existing Heidi Plus users. It is ideal for anyone planning on using the platform with little or no knowledge of HESA data and/or an analytical background. This course will provide a mixture of theory and interactive elements, intended to educate participants on the correct use of Heidi Plus, the key concepts and terminology.
Heidi Plus provides access to extensive and current UK HE data. It includes up to ten years of the most recent data, updated on a regular basis, so you can rest assured that you’re gaining the newest insights to inform your decisions.
Throughout the fully interactive day there will be the opportunity to explore Heidi Plus, to create a variety of data visualisations with HESA data (student, destinations, finance, staff etc) and to observe and understand the HESA dashboards.
This training will also feature a mandatory section on data protection (which is a requirement for using Heidi Plus). If you have already undertaken the data protection training, you will not be required to attend this part of the training course, unless you choose to do so.
