Role

As the senior HR susiness partner for the student services directorate, I work closely with the centres of excellence within the wider HR team to support managers in the building of organisation and people capability, in order to shape and implement effective people strategies and activities.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Strategy and projects
  • Consultancy
  • Employee engagement
  • Service delivery
  • Performance development and recognition


Background

I have over 20 years’ experience working within the human resources field. I firmly believe that people are at the heart of everything we do and I am passionately committed to employee development.

I’m a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and have an extensive range of experience in the employee life cycle. My particular areas of expertise include employee engagement and relations, performance and reward and organisational development.

Prior to joining Jisc, I led the HR function for HECSU Prospects for 15 years, and prior to that, in a number of hotels both in the UK and Canada.

I am also an enterprise adviser to the Manchester Hospital school, supporting the senior leadership team with the school career planning.
