Suzanne Williams

Web of Science and Zetoc development officer

Along with my colleagues I provide comprehensive support for the Web of Science service for UK Education and Zetoc

This involves user support, organising and facilitating training events, producing and maintaining currency of documentation and support materials, and promotion of the services.

My first experience of working in the information field was as an information assistant at King’s College London medical library. After becoming a qualified librarian and completing my MA in information management, I worked as an information officer at a health promotion unit in south east London where I developed an interest in user education and information skills training.

I continued to develop these skills whilst employed as information skills trainer in the NHS, working with primary care staff across north west London.  Here I became involved in developing searching strategies in order to locate evidence to assist in clinical decision making, I also developed an interest in critical appraisal skills and evidence-based health care.
