Ensuring the Jisc website meets the needs of our members.
I work in the digital team. I manage a team of brilliant content designers and am product manager for jisc.ac.uk. I'm responsible for the development of its content, structure and design. I’m passionate about usability, user experience and evidence-based development.
I started out as a freelance web designer then, rather by accident, found myself working for Lancaster University for three years. I'd joined the entrepreneurship team at Lancaster University Management School, and had a happy (if damp) time providing web and brand consultancy and training to SMEs.
After six years up north (I also studied up there) I craved sunshine so headed to Bristol, joining the web team at UWE. Over my four years there I worked on the corporate site, developed their e-communications, and led on the development and management of their social media channels.
I'm a sucker for a new network or tool - and so have far more logins than I know what to do with. I also have more than a passing interest in web standards, typography, user experience, design, climbing and baking.
