Role

I support the head of library and scholarly futures and focus on medium and long-term trends and initiatives to help UK libraries and universities remain at the forefront of digital innovation in learning, teaching and research.

I also take a lead role for Jisc in the international Knowledge Exchange partnership, an international collaboration to improve open scholarship.

I'm based in the Jisc digital futures division - the focal point for innovation, research and development at Jisc.

Background

My background is in academic libraries, focusing on innovative library technologies and services. I have worked on a wide range of library projects, ranging from institutional to national and international.

This includes projects in library resource discovery, access & identity management, online information literacy training and e-resources.

I am one of the authors of the Access and Identity Management for Libraries: Controlling access to online information book (Facet Publishing, 2013) and am currently contributing to a new book on library resource discovery (due to be published by Facet Publishing in 2017).
