I support the executive director of digital resources in ensuring we provide a continuing fit for purpose, licensing and negotiation service offering value, cost saving and efficiency.
I contribute to the strategic direction of Jisc licensing, with a focus on customers. I also led the TNE licensing pilot, which became an optional service on 1 August 2019.
I've been working in the published content delivery industry since 1988. In 2010, I joined Jisc Collections as senior licensing manager, from Content Complete, where my role had been content negotiator since 2004. Prior to that I worked for subscription agents: SwetsBlackwell, Swets, and Faxon.
From August 2011 to December 2014, I was head of licensing for Jisc Collections, with responsibility for leading the licensing team to deliver value for money agreements for UK HE and FE members, including the negotiation of pricing and licence terms for Jisc Collections and the Scottish Higher Education Digital Library (SHEDL), as well as providing consultancy for overseas consortia.
I was previously a member of the UKSG's main committee, and was education officer of the UKSG's education sub committee from April 2012 to April 2014. I have an MBA from the University of Warwick and an MSt in history from the University of Cambridge.
