Role
I have responsibility to ensure outstanding service for Jisc members and communities in Wales.
Background
I joined Jisc RSC Wales in 2008 as an e-learning advisor with the primary responsibility of supporting the work based learning/skills sector. This was a role I pursued with enthusiasm, supporting what was then an e-immature sector in identifying and realising the benefits of utilising modern, digital technologies in order to enhance teaching, learning and strategic or business functions.
In 2010 I was appointed to the role of service level manager before becoming head of service in April 2014.
Prior to Jisc, I spent 10 years working in the further education and skills sector teaching IT to learners from work-based learning, adult and community learning, further education and higher education in further education. Through my masters degree with the University of Glamorgan I developed a keen interest in e-learning.
