Shaping the digital future of FE and skills
A cross-sector research project led by Jisc, working in tandem with the Association of Colleges (AoC).
Kick-started by the rapid shift to online working and studying enforced by the pandemic, shaping the digital future of FE and skills is a cross-sector research project led by Jisc, working in tandem with the Association of Colleges (AoC).
During summer 2020, the project has brought together college leaders, teachers, learners, sector bodies and edtech experts in a series of leadership roundtables and research webinars.
It has established a consensus on what “good” looks like as campuses are reopening, and the project’s first report offers recommendations to government, sector bodies and colleges in order to realise the potential of technology to benefit the FE and skills sector now and into the future.
Improving online education experiences and outcomes will require a fundamental shift from merely transferring courses online to transforming digital learning, teaching and assessment. This report sets out how that might be achieved.
