The networking conference is calling for hackathon teams including students, apprentices and professionals.
The hackathon, sponsored by Cisco, has a theme of ‘making life easier through network automation’ and is designed specifically for network engineers.
Jisc is calling on students, apprentices and professionals to enter the hackathon in teams of three or four. Teams must be made up of members from the same organisation, but can include a mix of professionals, students and apprentices.
The aim is to create a functioning software or hardware prototype that solves a particular problem, which must be solvable through network automation.
Coding experience may be useful, but is not required.
How to apply
Teams should submit an outline of their idea as part of the registration form.
Successful teams will be asked to participate in the live event, including presenting their solution to a judging panel on Thursday 16 April.
Networkshop is free to attend for hackathon teams, and winning team members will each receive a £100 Amazon voucher.
The deadline for entries is 09:00 on Monday 23 March 2020.
