The Networkshop48 hackathon is a new addition to this year’s event, sponsored by Cisco.
A hackathon is normally something you would associate with developers, but this is designed specifically for network engineers. The theme is 'making life easier through network automation'.
What we're looking for
We want to hear from teams of 3-4 individuals to take part on 15 and 16 April 2020 at NTU Events and Conferencing, Nottingham.
Your team must all be from the same organisation, however your group can be made up of professionals, students and apprentices.
The aim is to create a functioning software or hardware prototype that solves a particular problem.
The problem can be anything - as long as it's fixed by network automation, using either Cisco data centre, campus or security solutions.
Do you have a monotonous network task that bores you even thinking about it, or maybe you have repetitive strain injury from constantly being at that command-line interface (CLI)? We’re interested to hear your ideas on how to do things better.
About the hackathon
- Date: 15-16 April
- Venue: NTU Events and Conferencing, Nottingham

If your team is chosen...
Successful teams will be invited to take part in the hackathon, where you will be asked to present your solution to a judging panel at the end of the day, on Thursday 16 April 2020. The winning team will be announced shortly after.
We’ll cover your accommodation, travel and refreshments, and each member of the winning team will receive a £100 Amazon voucher.
