About
Jisc has worked with the Welsh Government's Public Sector Broadband Aggregation (PSBA) for many years to deliver Janet connectivity to members in Wales. We continue to do so as we engage with PSBA over it's future and consider the future of Janet delivery in Wales.
Following a face-to-face event held at Cardiff and Vale College, we started the process of collating the future service requirements for HE and FE in Wales. We're continuing the conversation by running bi-annual workshops for technical managers.
It's an opportunity to meet online with experts from Jisc, enabling us to understand your broader connectivity requirements and discuss how technical innovations on the Janet Network can offer value to your organisation. We will also update you on the Janet access programme, our regional networking approach currently being rolled out across the UK, but outside of the PSBA.
There will also an update from PSBA, covering a network update and strategy.
Share your experiences
We are keen to make these online events a platform for members to share their experiences - good and bad. If you have been involved in a recent connectivity project that you are willing to talk about informally for approximately 10 minutes, please register for this event.
You might want to share "war stories", or talk about an infrastructure project, campus redevelopment, procurement or new technology initiative - anything you think other members would benefit from or be interested in.
Who should attend
This event will be of interest to:
- Network managers
- Technical network staff
- IT operations managers
- Senior network engineers
Please note, this event is only for Jisc members who are connected to the PSBA. Any members who are not connected to the PSBA and any commercial representatives registering as delegates will have their registration cancelled.
