About
We all know that secure resilient connectivity to the internet is business critical in UK education and research and to achieve this Jisc has worked with the Kent Public Service Network (KSPN) for many years to deliver Janet connectivity to members in Kent.
KPSN’s contract with DUCL for operation and management of the network will come to an end by 2024 at the latest and the contract will be reprocured by Kent County Council during the next 2 to 3 years. Having reassessed the requirements of members we are keen to share our vision of how the Janet Network can be shaped to meet the future needs of education and research.
To inform you further of our direction for the Janet Network are running an online event for technical experts. We will share our regional networking approach - the Janet access programme currently being rolled out across the UK – and the benefits it offers in developing new connectivity services.
Who should attend
This event will be of interest to:
- Network managers
- Technical network staff
- IT operations managers
- Senior network engineers
Please note, this event is only for Jisc members who are connected to the KSPN. Any members who are not connected to the KSPN and any commercial representatives registering as delegates will have their registration cancelled.
