About

As new students become familiar with the library and returning students suddenly become aware of the end of term deadlines, you might find that you are suddenly faced with a number of questions about access to e-resources and how they can be used.

So why not join us and find out how you and your colleagues, such as help-desk and academic liaison staff, can use Knowledge Base+ (KB+) to quickly find information about your e-resource subscriptions to answer questions from students, academics and walk-in users.

It will cover:

  • Setting up 'editor' and 'read only' accounts, and the difference between the two
  • How to use the system to answer questions such as: as an alumnus, which resources can I use? Can we include content from journal X in the VLE and coursepacks? Can walk-in users use this database?

You can send any questions you might have ahead of the webinar by emailing us, (please mention KB+ in the subject line) so that we can cover them in the session, or feel free to ask them on the day.

Who should attend

This event is primarily for e-resource librarians in both FE and HE, but it may be useful to anyone who manages e-resources.
