There is a massive and important interface between the NHS and universities and research institutes in support of clinical education, clinical research and healthcare innovation. More recently the use of NHS data for clinical research and the associated information governance has become a key topic.
This forum meets every six months for informatics leads from both the NHS and higher education (HE) to help shape initiatives that improve connectivity and mechanisms for collaboration between the sectors. It is an informal group that relies on the influence, ideas and action of its individual members to make a difference.
- To promote electronic access of medical journals and content by students and clinical teachers
