This forum meets every six months for informatics leads from both the NHS and higher education (HE) to help shape initiatives that improve connectivity and mechanisms for collaboration between the sectors.
It is an informal group that brings together those working in IT and informatics across the NHS and universities/research institutes, to learn from each other and from national initiatives.
Clinical education, clinical research and healthcare innovation rely on joint working between the NHS and universities and research institutes. The NHS-HE forum focuses on the informatics interface between the sectors in areas such as connectivity, access to data and learning or knowledge resources, and information governance.
