This event will provide an introduction to Learning Science, a demonstration of the LabSims product, and how they can be used to enhance practical science learning. It will also provide an opportunity to ask questions.
Learning Science LabSims are engaging, interactive simulations that allow students to become familiar with techniques and apparatus before they enter a lab. These cover key topics such as core techniques, safety and risks, taking measurements, optimising experiments, and interpreting data. These resources are self-study activities lasting around 10 minutes, allowing students to practice and develop their practical science skills. They help prepare students for laboratory and practical classes by improving engagement, performance, and confidence. They can also be used to review practical classes, assignment work and revision.
Who should attend
