This event aims to introduce you to the R01 scanner and give you an opportunity to try out (so bring your object - no more than 50cm x 50cm - if you would like to scan it).
We will also explore how these 3D captured data can be processed further into final useable forms such as VR, AR, and MR.
John Holder from the Realities Centre (London's premiere VR, AR event and training centre) will walk us through the workflow of bringing your object into WebVR, Unity3D, and Unreal engine.
This is a great opportunity to come together and discuss how this technology could be used in education, research, and training and potentially support possible learning needs.
- An introduction to Reality01 and 3D scanning and photogrammetry
- A talk on relevant uses of 3D scanned content in education and research
- Show and tell on post-scanning workflows with the chief technologist at Realities Centre
- Networking and pizza
Who should attend
