Research & Innovation
JISC programmes are contributing to the UK government's research and innovation agenda by helping researchers develop and apply next generation digital technology. Previously intractable research challenges are now opening up to scientific scrutiny thanks to the use of advanced software tools and hardware infrastructure as part of the research process. This is leading to innovation in a range of fields from drug discovery to aircraft engine maintenance to the study of ancient manuscripts.
