Intellectual property rights
Copyright and other Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) will be at the forefront of JISC’s activities and services and in many cases, both underpin and determine the various types of projects that JISC funds and support that it offers.
Over the course of the last few years, the JISC, its projects and services have themselves developed a range of supporting materials for Higher and Further educational establishments and JISC funded projects to support their engagement with
IPR and licensing with digital content, digital media, data and innovative technologies. In addition, the JISC has developed an IP Policy clarifying its position regarding the ownership of IP created by JISC Projects and Services, the roles and responsibilities of JISC funded projects regarding
IPR and licensing as well as JISC’s position on Creative Commons Licences.
