The primary aims of the meeting are to:

  • raise awareness (why is OpenID of interest?);
  • discuss issues (what are the problems with OpenID?, how can it be implemented?);
  • help to influence practice and inform policy at both institutional and national levels.

The meeting will be of interest to technical staff within university computing services, systems librarians, learning technologists, elearning vendors and publishers selling into academia, and national bodies (such as JISC and Becta).

Nicole Harris of JISC (Senior Transition Manager, JISC Access Management Programme) is one of the speakers.
