Identity and Access as UK priority

Federating the next generation

Abstract

This introductory presentation will summarise progress to date on the access and identity management journey, from the particular perspective of those managing UK HE Library and IT services. We will explore the extent to which federated access has been adopted by institutions, the opportunities this offers, and the barriers to full adoption across the sector. SCONUL and UCISA perspectives on future priorities will also be discussed, setting the scene for later presentations in this conference.
