JISC Monitoring Unit
The JISC Monitoring Unit provides monitoring, reporting and record-keeping services for JISC and is a primary source of information for demonstrating the efficiency, impact and value of the infrastructure and services provided by JISC to UK education and research.
The Monitoring Unit regularly collects and analyses data from services which JISC funds and publishes reports to enable JISC to manage its relationships with the service providers and for portfolio management. Regular reports provide snapshots of performance, costs, usage levels (including projected use for three years where possible), market penetration and perceived value within the user community. Further analyses are also carried out on an ad-hoc basis for JISC as required.
The Monitoring Unit also maintains an archive of JISC Service Level Agreements with service providers and the authoritative list of JISC-funded JANET Connections.
