JISC currently supports six Advisory Services as well as the Regional Support Centres (RSCs).

JISC Advisory Services

JISC provides a range of Advisory Services, dedicated to supporting the further and higher education communities in the innovative use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) - whether it is continuing professional development, advice on new build programmes, use of mobile learning or disability equality schemes (to name but a few).

The JISC Advisory Services are unique and have no direct commercial equivalents. Working closely with the JISC Regional Support Centres, they provide the UK further and higher education (FE and HE) sectors with the expertise, independent advice, guidance and resources required to enable effective and innovative uses of ICT. JISC Advisory Services provide focused advice and support to the community on a wide range of issues which institutions face on a daily basis. Staffed by experts in their fields, the services are dedicated to the dissemination of good practice, and can also provide help and support which is tailored to institutions' specific ICT requirement.

JISC and the Advisory Services have been examining ways to enhance the services currently provided by the advisory services and beyond. The outcome of this review is the formation of a new company called JISC Advance

JISC Advisory Services
JISC Digital Media provides advice, guidance and training on the creation and use of digital media collections for learning, teaching and research. Digital media covers still images, moving images and sound resources. JISC Digital Media logo

JISC Procureweb is a procurement support service, for the UK Higher and Further Education Sectors and Research Councils. Procureweb, funded by JISC, provides a wide range of procurement related tools, information, systems and support to anyone who participates in the procurement process.

JISC TechDis has resources, materials and techniques, coupled with advice and guidance to assist practitioners and managers to provide an accessible and inclusive experience for students and staff.
