IPR consultancy

The JISC IPR Consultancy was started in October 2005 to provide expert advice to the JISC Development Group in the area of intellectual property rights.
The Consultancy been providing input to the JISC Development Group on a range of issues around programme management and IPR issues within FE and HE. Naomi Korn and Charles Oppenheim also draw on the expertise of Sol Picciotto and Charles Duncan.
Their work includes:
- Developing and maintaining networks across JISC
- Scoping and research into requirements
- Project managing other consultants
- Broader consultation
- Research and Development
Their Research and Development workplan includes the following areas of interest:
- Licenses for JISC project outputs
- Implementing the new IPR policy for JISC development
- Applicability of creative commons-style licenses to UK FE and HE
- IPR in student work
- Web2.0 and IPR scoping
