This project addressed the two sub-themes of Theme 1 (1a Pilot Case Studies, 1b Specialist Electronic Studies) holistically within a single project and encompassed both records relating to the administration and management of research (including electronic records) and the digital content produced by the research process. 

Under Theme 1a the project piloted the revised Study of the Record Lifecycle in respect of the management and conduct of the research function, testing its practical application within UEA. 

Under Theme 1b the project identifed issues raised specifically by the use of electronic media and systems in the research process, in particular those relating to: data integrity; preservation; continuing access; reuse and regulatory compliance.
