Meeting for new projects

An introductory meeting was held for all new projects funded from the 04/06 Capital call September 2006 for the Repositories and preservation programme. The aim was to brief new projects on the process of managing a JISC-funded project and to promote communciation and synergy between projects.
The meeting included sessions covering the JISC Information Environment, JISC frameworks and services such as the Repositories Support Project, the Repositories Research Team and thee-Framework. There was also a presentation from Ross Gardler of OSSwatch.
There was the opportunity for projects to meet, and parallel discussion sessions on areas of special interest: Interoperability, Legal and Policy, and Preservation.
