Additional Support for Specialist Colleges
This project seeks to marshal some of the services (e.g. TechDis and Netskills) and resources provided by JISC into a package tailored to the particular needs of staff in Specialist Colleges.
The programme will support the NLN Champions training, devised and run by Becta, and will prepare staff to meet the possibilities and challenges to be faced in fully exploiting the new JANET connections and other NLN support. The JCALT programme will provide Champions with a laptop computer and a suite of further training, specially tailored by Netskills and TechDis, to meet the particular requirements of staff in these colleges for students with a disability and to enable them to put into practice the lessons of the Becta package.
