Staff access to ICT
Further and Higher Education Institutions are placing an increasing
reliance on the use of ICT such as the use of emails and intranets to
conduct their business activities. However this may be to the detriment of
personnel who do not have such access to such technologies. The first
comprehensive report of its kind in the UK, the survey found that most
institutions in both FE and HE (73% and 89%) do not have a formal policy
governing which have staff have their own PC.
