This engagement happens in various fora and these opportunities are a chance for JISC to communicate the value of the work it funds and to get validation from the community about its future priorities and activities. JISC is an active participant in many of the most important events and meetings in the digital preservation field. These events include:

iPres - International Conference on the Preservation of Digital Objects

This is an annual conference hosted at various locations throughout the world and brings together a wide variety of researchers and practitioners focused on a wide range of digital preservation challenges.

IDCC - International Digital Curation Conference

Organised and hosted by the Digital Curation Centre, this conference is slanted towards the curation of scientific data and usually features a day of invited papers and then a second day of peer reviewed presentations.

DigCCurr - The Digital Curation Curriculum Symposium

This event originates from the School of information and Library Studies and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and is slanted towards issues around teaching and professional development in the digital curation field.

IS & T Archiving - Imaging Science and Technology Archiving Conference

Focusing on the challenges of preserving and maintaining access to image content
