e-Journal Registry Scoping Study
This study was commissioned by the JISC to look at the feasibility and possible scope of a registry of archived e-journals. The project interviewed 22 people from a range of stakeholder groups: potential users (mainly university libraries and consortia); archiving organisations and national libraries (there is overlap in these); publishers; and a number of other groups concerned in one way or another with the journal supply chain (e.g. UKSerials Group), with digital preservation, or with scholarly communication generally (e.g. the Research Information Network). Interviews were carried out with international organisations as well as UK-based ones, as befits this very international community.
