An overview of standards used in the JISC metadata and interoperability programmes.

metadata and interoperability standards

Standards used in the PALS Programmes

The PALS projects allowed publishers and libraries gain practical experience using standards that enable them to exchange data about electronic publications and facilitate interoperability between their systems.  The standards covered by the various projects are listed below.  The page for each standard explains briefly what it is, how it works, who maintains the standard, what the projects used it, and links to further information about the standard.
